Sometimes we all have a story in our heads that we believe will play out a certain way and when it seems to take a turn that seems to be nowhere relative to that story we panic, but with every day that ends, we have yet a new day to create that story in our heads.
You may know me as a marketer, hell perhaps as a driver, a father, a husband, perhaps even as a friend, but at the end of the day the label we embrace is many times the one we feel we've yet to live up to.
This I say, we've yet to write our story, and with each day that goes by, we come closer to writing our final chapter, so it's important to realize our hand in how it will be read in the end. Take a moment to reflect on the role you're playing to be sure you haven't conveniently typecasted yourself into some irrelevant role in your own story.
How many people will you be remembered by, and of them, how many will rely on the story you're busy writing right this moment? What if you don't believe this to be so, then perhaps your story will die with you, never to be told or remembered by anyone. Be that the case, your eyes have found these words, and this story for a reason, to begin to write your story as you'd have it be remembered and told many years from now. The story whether good, bad, or so so, is entirely up to you and those whom you allow to play a role in it.
Is today your day, or will it be tomorrow, no one really knows, unless you know for sure, bit of a twist of fate can have your story go on for many chapters. Will they be ones of victory for mankind and personal achievements that go beyond your sole selfishness, or will they be intimate to solely your kin and those you've accepted within your circle of trust? These questions are answered daily by the life you've chosen to live.
Like a writer, you can decide to rewrite your story, to reinvent yourself by choosing to write your story as your very own masterpiece. All our stories won't be held in such high regards or for that case, remembered by that many people, yet we must believe that our audience is much more vast than that of our limited beliefs. Once you know that your audience is awaiting a climax in the story, you will find the hero in it and make the most of it, even when the tide is high with what seems like unbreakable circumstances and unforgettable regrets that make it that much more difficult to continue heroically.
Writing and living out our story is the sole purpose of our existence, for who else will write it ever so eloquently, if not by our own hand. So this is it, pen in hand, we must decide to simply just live it day by day aimlessly, or make today become a new day in each of our own stories.
